Following the introduction of the government’s relaxation for office conversions, large office buildings which are currently not used to their maximum capacity is favoured for residential conversion as they would provide much needed housing also would bring better income for any developer.
We have been appointed by the owner of this building to convert the 2 upper floors into self contained flats without having to alter the existing exterior of the building. The building benefitted from existing services such as central communal staircase and lift which we have utilised in our design.
We have carefully divided existing space into separate units to maximise the amount of unit’s whist not compromising on the quality of the internal spaces.
The application was successfully granted and the works have now been finished at the site where 16 number of self contained units now exist instead of part empty offices.
